Dicen que tenemos muchas vacaciones y una buena paga.
Dicen que vivimos muy bien.
Dicen cómo hacer nuestro trabajo pero ningun@ lo estudia ni tiene empeñó en ello.
Dicen y se quejan; porque no les gusta nuestro “estilo", porque ponemos muchos deberes, o ponemos pocos, porque su hijo no trabaja tan bien como el otr@...
Y yo digo.... Digo que no se agradece aquello que hacemos (sin estar obligados a ello) comprar cosas de nuestro dinero, atender a familias a cualquier hora, limpiar culetes, vestirlos, desvestirlos, esperar los continuos atrasos en la recogida por parte de sus familias...
También digo; lo que soportamos sin merecer; impertinencias, falta de empatía, feedback, falta de colaboración, comentarios negativos sobre nuestro trabajo, faltas de respeto, mensajes cuando estamos de baja (por situaciones que no les interesan ni preocupan) ya que siempre es más importante cualquier cosa insignificante (que ocurre durante nuestra ausencia) que lo que podamos estar padeciendo o viviendo durante dicha baja.
Y por último digo que SÓLO salimos adelante por los pequeños. Si nuestra motivación fuera por los "adultos" tendríamos que conformarnos con los pocos (que marcan la diferencia ante la indiferencia) que aún dan las gracias, te felicitan por tu cumpleaños, por Navidad o cuando tienes un detalle con sus hij@s.

El mundo en medio de una sociedad sin valores. La familia está considerada como el pilar fundamental del hombre dentro de la sociedad, es la cuna de los valores sociales que los seres humanos tendrán arraigados desde su infancia y que irán aprendiendo en el trascurso de su crecimiento y durante la niñez. Básicamente los valores humanos se representan por: amor, solidaridad, sinceridad, honradez, responsabilidad, identidad nacional, compromiso, respeto, tolerancia, obediencia, puntualidad, compasión.
They say that teachers don't work.
They say we have a lot of vacations and good pay.
They say we live very well.
They tell us how to do our job but no one studies it or has any commitment to it.
They say and complain; because they don't like our "style", because we give a lot of homework, or we give little, because their child doesn't work as well as the other...
And I say.... I say that what we do (without being obliged to do so) is not appreciated: buy things with our own money, take care of families at any time, clean their butts, dress them, undress them, wait for continuous delays in collecting them from their families...
I also say; what we endure without deserving; impertinence, lack of empathy, feedback, lack of collaboration, negative comments about our work, lack of respect, messages when we are on leave (for situations that do not interest or worry them) since any insignificant thing (that happens during our absence) than what we may be suffering or experiencing during said leave.
And finally I say that we ONLY get ahead because of the little ones. If our motivation were for the "adults" we would have to settle for the few (who make a difference in the face of indifference) who still say thank you, congratulate you on your birthday, Christmas or when you have a gift with their children.
Our classrooms are a reflection of each house 🏠 and the world 🌎 What legacy we want to leave...

The world in the middle of a society without values. The family is considered the fundamental pillar of man within society, it is the cradle of social values that human beings will have ingrained since their childhood and that they will learn during the course of their growth and during childhood. Basically human values are represented by: love, solidarity, sincerity, honesty, responsibility, national identity, commitment, respect, tolerance, obedience, punctuality, compassion.
A veces los maestros son más que los padres. Se dan cuenta de muchas cosas sobre los hijos que los mismos padres. Los maestros además de enseñar, juegan el rol de psychologues, de amigos, de padres, de consejeros, etc. Creo que aunque no se les valora lo suficiente, sin los maestros qué sería de esta humanidad. Continua, poco importa lo que algunos no valoren, el resultado de tu esfuerzo es lo que consta.😃

La lucha que tenemos perdida es que esa pequeña parcela que nos ocupa se disuelve como un azucarillo ante este mundo que cada vez es menos humano. En mis 24 años en la docencia nunca viví lo de estos últimos años, sobre todo desde el COVID hasta ahora.
Los padres tienen que tener en cuenta SIEMPRE que los niños son el reflejo de sus acciones.

I agree with you David. And I claim that the challenges a teacher face is not that much easy. If you have an idea about how to teach and how a student could understand better what you teach him, then of course you could be called a good teacher.
Teaching is a very special job that not everyone is suited for. I think having students who appreciate you makes it worthwhile. I’ve definitely had teachers who were wonderful. As a person with a disability, i had teachers who took the time to really understand me and my needs. I wouldn’t be where i am today without them. Thankyou for this beautiful post.
