Not everyone deserves to know every bit and piece about you. You don’t have to peel off every layer of your skin and explain why some spots crack your eyes open, or why the sky in your room never meets the sun. You don’t owe them anything for you to sell yourself short and reveal your secrets in a platter for free only to be criticized. Tuck them away and keep them safe.
Let your soul breathe its colors and coat your heart in sunbeam puzzled in chips they could hardly solve. Let them wonder and tittle-tattle about you —people have always something to say anyway. But the ones who truly know you will always see your warmth, your love that peeks between a thousand walls you put through.
