Every morning I tell my children👪👶💙💯

“Do your best”.

And by that, I don’t mean I expect them to push themselves to their absolute limits day-in, day-out.

You see, some days our best will be filling every hour with high energy work. With pushing our mind or our body to out-perform what they have done before.

And some days the best we’ll be capable of is getting out of bed. Of getting showered and dressed.

Some days, the best we can do is leave the house and take a much-needed walk outside.

Some days, our best will be to get through the day without breaking down or giving up.

Some days, our best will look to others like bare minimum.

But that’s ok.

Your Monday best might look very different to your Sunday best and that’s exactly how life is supposed to be lived.

You can’t constantly out-perform yourself. Just because you’re not moving upwards doesn’t mean you’re not moving forwards.

The only thing we should expect everyday is kindness.
Kindness to others.
Kindness to ourselves.

So, as you go about your day,
please remember…

Do your best.
Whatever that means
to you
today.
