A los bebés no les importa qué dicen las palabras sino cómo lo dicen, como lo envuelven, cómo cantan. Tiene que ver con el corazón, con los ritmos de la vida. Eso es lo que hechiza al bebé. La voz es la primera impronta simbólica en un bebé y es portadora de afecto. La voz, la oralidad viene de muy atrás.”

literature is voice and I love to say that babies read with their ears, like poets. Babies don't care what the words say but how they say it, how they wrap it, how they sing. It has to do with the heart, with the rhythms of life. That's what spells the baby. The voice is the first symbolic imprint on a baby and is a carrier of affection. The voice, the orality comes from very far back.”
