𝐴 𝑚𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟’𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑢𝑝 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠.

When she listens by the doorway to hear her child’s gentle breathing.
When she reads stories and sings songs for hours.
When her child’s pain causes her pain, and her child’s happiness causes her sheer bliss.

𝐴 𝑚𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟'𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑢𝑝 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠.

When her heart both breaks and bursts at every first.
When she lets go as her child becomes more independent, even though all she wants is to keep them close.
When she offers a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, and arms to wrap around them in comfort.

𝐴 𝑚𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟'𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑢𝑝 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠.

When she misses her child when they are not around.
When she second guesses her choices and is filled with guilt.
When she prays that her child knows the depths of her love.

𝐴 𝑚𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟'𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑢𝑝 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠.

When she gives her all regardless of what life throws her way.
When she helps with homework, makes schedules, and takes her kids to activities.
When she is their biggest supporter and number one fan.

𝐴 𝑚𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟'𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑢𝑝 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠.

When she calls and sends messages to make sure her kids are safe.
When she counts down the moments until she can hug them again.
When she worries about them, no matter their age.

Children grow older.
Life changes.

But a mother’s love?
